Previously, Origin Shield already offered a robust set of protections, including Cloud WAF capabilities leveraging both the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Core Rule Set (CRS) and customized CRS. Additional existing features comprised web firewall rules, header manipulation rules, CAPTCHA and JavaScript challenges for user verification, user agent blocking, rate-limiting rules, specific rate limiting based on headers, and access control mechanisms.
